Mission
The Gulfcoast Studio Company of the Sarasota Cuban Ballet strives to develop strong and confident dancers, giving them the opportunity to expand their artistic development and performance experience. The Gulfcoast Studio Company provides an important bridge from student training to a professional career.
Company members receive instruction and personalized coaching by an international faculty following the renowned Cuban training method. The Sarasota Cuban Ballet is a premier destination in the US for Cuban training.
The Gulfcoast Studio Company’s season provides Company members expansive performance opportunities, including the Nutcracker and On Stage Gala at professional theater venues; the Black Box performance series in the Sarasota Cuban Ballet’s auditorium; and invitations to perform at local festivals and community events.
Community outreach activities, such as lecture/demonstrations and creative movement workshops for children of all ages led by Company members, provide opportunities to explore many aspects of the dance world.
