Our Apprentice Program is affiliated with the Gulfcoast Studio Company of the Sarasota Cuban Ballet. Apprentice program students are high school to age 22 and are selected through audition.

The 36-week season includes daily technique class, with additional classes in pointe, men’s technique, variations, partnering, contemporary, and dance conditioning. Classes are small and taught by an international faculty following the renowned Cuban ballet training method. The Sarasota Cuban Ballet is a premier destination in the US for Cuban training.

Apprentice program students will have the opportunity to perform with Gulfcoast Studio Company members in productions at professional theater venues and the performance series in the Sarasota Cuban Ballet Auditorium. The Apprentice program provides an important bridge from student training to a professional career.
